New 3DS Firmware to Add Menu Themes, Face Plates Announced

There will also be a new Themes Store in the eShop where you can purchase new themes. The firmware update is set to release in October.

Nintendo also announced that the New 3DS will also allow players to place face plates on the handheld to better customize the system. Many face plates also have a matching menu theme that can be downloaded from the store.

Is it for the 3ds xl and ll ones, because I have a normal 3DS

These updates are available for all 3DS/2DS systems as it's just a software update. Don't worry about it Gira, your 3DS is still viable too. Smile
