Those Bygone Years - Let Us Reflect and at least have a Reunion or Something?

How long has it been since the last user stepped foot onto this forum. A forum brewing with an amazing community bringing in good memories.
Through this forum, I've met some great people along the way. Of course, those users come and go, and we must all leave them, those bygone years, behind.

Sure Those Bygone Years have gone by, but is it so easy as to just forget this existed?
Maybe I'm just insane and I just want to type away on a dead forum.
Or there's just some things that for some reason brought me back here.

Whatever the reason, I may never know. Life takes it toll. Time does not stop.

I honestly don't know why I'm writing here, but I guess I want to talk about what has been going on since this forum went dead 5-6 years ago. (And also I'm going absolutely insane with this quarantine of COVID-19)

I am about to go into college in the Fall. Yes it is now my senior year, and this pandemic has ruined my high school senior year :'(. But where is my aspirations now? I am now into film making, more on the editing side however. I am not a smart person (as evident by my grades), but I still always have that optimism that drives me going. There were lots of memories that came during High School, and they were both stressful and the best times of my life. So where am I going for college? UC Santa Cruz. It's going to be a new journey going forward, but I can't wait for what the future holds.
Recently I have now find a perfect identity that I can hold proudly: GiraKeng. Stemming from my typical nickname: Gira(tina) as well as combining my full name: Kenneth Ng, I finally found a unique name that I can use in the web. With that name, I have opened up more on my content creation on YouTube.

Ok enough of that now. I want to make this topic to at least have a "reunion" of some sorts, if that ever happens. I know this is just that, but eh. No way in hell dude, I came on here today to post about something as well. Not even sure if you remember me at all but I remember your username quite well. I'll try adding your discord and I totally agree that we should have a reunion or something. Just in case I don't come back on here, my discord is sealsbruins and my YT channel is in my signature. I miss when I was a lot younger and had no worries in life besides playing pokemon and other nintendo games haha. Now I'm 19 and finishing my first year of university. Hey Gira and newsupermariobros, it's been a very long time hasn't it?

Geez...what can I even say in this post that would be sufficient? A mere post is hardly enough for an apology, but truly - it means so much to me to see the two of you still remembering and even visiting GamerzUniverse after all these years... It's absolutely shocking to think of how fast time has went by, but to see both of you here makes me so happy regardless!

To think both of you were so young back in the day, but now pursuing university or even completing your first year of it, we are all very proud of you and rooting for your futures! Gira, I really do want to thank you for making this post as a reunion of sorts and I want to thank you and newsupermariobros for your continued dedication for the forum - again, it means so much to see how much you all loved these forums and the users within it. I'm so sorry I couldn't post earlier or even contact any of you sooner -  but I assure you, GU will never be forgotten.

It's so strange considering I was searching through old GU chat/archives recently, and I'm so amazed by the coincidental timing of this post made even in 2020 - almost 7 years since the active days of the forum. I hope both of you can see this post and I'd be very happy to chat with you via discord at anytime and will pm you my user if you're interested! oh wow!!! it's been forever! my brother (EM) just showed me this post and it's so crazy and sweet to see the impact that this forum has had on the lives of others.

as for me, i'm 18 and about to move out for uni in the fall! i'm super excited about this new chapter, even though this quarantine has been all over the place.

it makes me so happy to see this post!! i'm getting emotional at 3am!

Damn, Gira and NSMB. It has been a long long time. Can't believe you guys still remember the forum till this day.... It's nice to see how far you guys have grown. Both in university and starting a new chapter, congrats to both of you! I'm glad you guys are doing well and being safe.

As for me, i just graduated college recently as a Computer Systems Tech, so trying to find work in that field but its tough with COVID.

Anyways, we should stay in touch though! As Maple said, maybe get on the GU chat for a reunion? Lets set a date?
